From a general perspective

From a general perspectiveAnd comparing the overall mobile phone market ---
RIM --- Truly they are in denial. They dont have the strength or vision to make something extraordinary. RIM was based on Pager concept which made it widely popular but with evolution technology went far beyond pager and they are 5 yrs behind its competitor. Its a lost story and will never recoup from its loss unless change in CEO and get someone visionary.
Android -- A very good clone of apple IOS. Its a free platform so anyone can use it. Pros - too many handsets, few good and rest horrible. Mobile is not only abt making calls and msg, its abt application. More app they have more they will win.
Apple - With steve jobs gone, it will be hard to see how the company progress under tim cook and John Ivy. Smartphone reached peak and very less room to improve the over all phone ( more thinner or more beautiful). BUt still the total control of Hardware and software will dominate the market for better products.
WHOEVER says android is the one to be worried about might be correct, but retrospectively iPhone is competing with 50-60 handsets and still growing strong. It will be still a market leader and will be the 1st one to make something revolutionary.
P.S.  I used Blackberry, Android and still sticking with apple for its simplicity and partly because what the brand stands for.
