RE: RE: when will the shorts have to cover

RE: RE: when will the shorts have to cover

Excellent post wavector!! Our members will understand how stock shortening system works.

In simple terms, if you buy 1000 BB at $10, the max. amout of money you can lose if company goes bankrupt will be $10000 but if you have shorted 1000 BB at $ 10 you can lose some big chunk of money if stock keep moving up and at some point they have a right to recall the short position and you will be asked to cover it. If you fail, they will cover it for you buying the stock and closing the short position. Lets say your broker coved it at $ 24 per share, that means you have lost 14000 dollars plus interest/carring charges.

But AT will not lose that much money because she has shorted only 50 shares this morning at 13:44 which she might cover at 16:55 tomorrow. LOL.

Anyway, BB is set to go to 18:50 within next two weeks. If Financial report is good on 28 march, and sales figures are attractive, this stock will go up like a rocket.
