RE:A Letter To Members of The Canadian Parliament

RE:A Letter To Members of The Canadian Parliament
Dear Darryl,

I agree with many of the points in your letter and share your frustration as a Canadian. I can give many examples how many of our companies are slammed in prime time American TV and our own BNN is not much better when the slide was underway. I comment a while back how they could let some unknown guy that I had never seen on TV come on and slam BB when they changed their name and they wrote BB off from day one.

One person said that’s what these guys do, they talk their book…and thats what its all about on TV.  Well I don’t think we should contribute to the write of our companies and should be fair and balanced in the reporting. I guess they got the message as the very next day they had a panel on with the two sides of the story but I recall that day as being extremely negative. We could all see from the volume on the NASDAQ that BB was being slammed down by the shorts.

With regards to The Board and CEO, the government will never get involved in that. It does look like on one hand they really are stealing the company but on the other I believe this stuck it to the shorts setting up the $9.00 base.  I never would have imagined that selling 750 million dollars in one quarter was a failure , of course when you set up the expectations so high it did look like a huge miss. But the fact remains that this company can still sell in the billions of dollars of devices, has a couple of billion in the bank.

The public demise of BB has more to do with all the hedge funds pumping Apple and wanting to kill the competition.   They are looking to bury it as quickly as possible. As Canadians we need to stand up for our jobs and ensure that we are viable all over the world. It would be nice to see other industries get the support that the auto industry has gotten.

Good luck to the longs and may BB survive.
