BB Fair value?... what everyone is scrambling to figure out right now.
For example, what is the fair value of GM? They just finished screwing all their investors through BK. All the while, they knew their ignitions were killing folks. All throught he bailout, the US Gov. knew the company was no longer viable, yet they threw them all that public money. Holy shi!. And their stock goes up. Figure it out.
Where then is BB going, on the backdrop of the lunacy that IS the "markets".
I'd venture to say that if you are short BB, then you are *&^%$ (queb'd)
The "fair value" of anything, even the currency we use in our respective countries, is more about perception than anything else. Review all that is going wrong with the US and tell me their currency shouldn't be a tenth of what it is. But alas, it's still the petro-dollar. (for now)
BB was 'the Canadian darling' in a way that even Nortel wasn't and could never be. I will not forget that the shares I held in BB a decade ago were, at their peak, worth millions had I held.
ShiP.
Ok. That said, what is the fair value of BB? I am willing to bet that we are about to find out in a way that most don't expect.
Right now, certain 'other companies' are accumulating BB shares in a bold plan to make millions, whether their 'bid' is successful or not. Seen it too many times to think, for even a second, that it is not happening again right now.
Accumulate shares of a beaten down darling, and then announce your interest in them publicly.
The stock will double instantly and they reap millions. Otherwise, they grab the company at a fire sale price. It's a win-win.
So, if you are long BB, then buckle up. Next week is going to be bumpy -to the upside. And shorts... get a grip.
