Android Blackberry
Lots has been discussed about this new incarnation both fearful and hopeful. I for one have said for a long time now you can have the best technology in this case BB10 OS you don't necessarily win the market over if you don't have all the mobile apps ( new ones keep appearing daily ) that everybody wants to use but are available only to the other OS's. With QNX, Blackberry has had the technical capability of emulating the Android OS for sometime now but never implemented the coveted Google Services functionality . My own theory on that is Google has patent rights to this and Blackberry has not been able for whatever reason to get a royalty deal done with Google to implement it using the QNX emulator capability. . So here we are at the eleventh hour and Blackberry now hints to delivering an Android Blackberry. Certainly this raises many questions on how they would implement such a phone. But as a few have already said and I am in full agreement an Android phone with Blackberry label on it makes no sense at all. What does make sense however is give us Blackberry phone with all it's dearly loved communication features Blend, Security , LED Email notification, HUB, Multitasking , BB keyboard, BBM and allow Google Play to be the alternate Apps source to BB world which should run flawlessy under QNX . Now that would be some kind of dual phone that would attract the consumer types back to their roots.
