I hope you don't mind me saying that I hope that the Democrats will be graceful losers, if Trump wins. I don't think that it is at all clear who is going to win.
As a Canadian I say: All the best for America, whoever wins the election.
In this case, instead of saying, "May the best person win" I would say:
May the best person win, and may that winner be recognized and may the opposing party accept the electoral decision.
The result in 2016 is still very sadly contested by Hillary Clinton and many Democrats. I hope to see an end to the violence in the streets, and an end to the "civil war" between Republicans and Democrats in the great country to the South.
