RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Good for Europe they're going to need FreyrI am aware of the track record of the US with respect to their military operations, and as a teenager in the 1960s participated in ant-war rallies during the Vietnam war. The Middle East situation is horrific, made worse by the involvement of many nations, including the US, UK, and Russia.
I guess what I have always been "in the dark" about is that people could not care about people being blown up, slaughtered and driven from their homes by an invading army. I always assumed that decent people would want that to be stopped, and that they wouldn't justify inhumane acts because other parties had committed horrible acts in the past. There is no justification for inhumane, atrocious acts, and even if you think Russia is in the right and was justified in attacking Ukraine, how can any non-sociopathic person think that the treatment of elderly Ukrainians, women and children at the hands of the Russians is just fine.
I apologize to the board for extending this discussion and I will try not to get sucked into making another Russian post. My mother lived through the Nazi blitz of London in WW II and certain areas of the city were basically razed, and the videos coming out of Ukraine appear to be even worse.
