Chen is not capable to drive it above that level..... that is the main problem here. But who will take him out of the equation, I am not sure.... Is there a competent BoD?
Paray99, unfortunately that ship sailed long ago.
The BoD we both agree are toothless. They gave away their power to control the company when they gave the King of BlackBerry his second Employment Contract... Fired or Acquired he immediately collects $144.8M. Todate he has collected $69M, so the balance should they show him the door.
jaune chien should have been gone a year ago, instead he fired another of his hires... that hire after 15 months collected 280,000 shares when he was shown the door. The previous president lasted 12 months.
No, the BoD couldn't financially afford to show the chef exit officer the door and still cannot. gone when should have stepped aside, but is too invested and arrogant. Heck, November 13, 2023 is too close for anyone to walk from the type of lottery wins he lined up with Premium Whatsup.
New investors get a great buy in price as chne prepares to leave office later this year. chne has failed to sell his ideas like he failed to save the BB10. BBM and BB10 were decimated by Facebook's use of Patents in their free to use model while BlackBerry toiled to sell its product and service... the problem with jaune chien is he has consistently served himself first, November 13, 2023 mattered most and nothing else. Come hell or high water only chne mattered until the BoD flexed its weak muscles.
Hiding the Facebook settlement was a mistake, unless you are chne. The Kink of BlakcBerry is hoping his blind settlement with FB will pay off. The problem I fear is META has cut back on development and that likely affects the sweetheart deal jaune chien made and kept behind closed doors after a PUBLIC victory in Germany... chne seems to have folded BlackBerry success for his!
Sad, 10 months remain for existing investors... the brightside is new investors get to buy into a double or triple as the company returns to its former earnings just 5 years ago and possibly Cylance, the so far $1.5B boondoggle that hasn't performed just like chne.
So, no, the BoD do nothing, as expected and now prudent as shareholders ride out the Chitty Chne Era of failed promise and all employees sent packing by they guy who should have stepped aside long ago.
