If you invested in a boatload of BB shares when Chen was hired, you'd be down around 25% after a decade of holding those shares. You'd have been better off keeping your money in a chequing account which paying you no interest. A 5-year GIC with one rollover would have cleaned the clocks of BB shareholders. Then again, he only had 10 years to work with, so perhaps we should cut him some slack...?
