I am all for inexpensive solutions, but I am struggling to understand your argument. Please help me to understand. My quick research on this: Colchicine is not hydroxychloriquine, and colchicine does not appear to prevent/reduce incidence of infection, although the research does show that it effectively reduces serious complications in some patients once infected. imo, we still need the vaccines ...more

Still, what is the controversy? Is somebody lobbying against using colchicine to mitigate covid symptoms?  btw, I note that colchicine has a high risk of overdose,l (severe organ failure and death) so usage would likely need to be closely monitored  https://www.drugs.com/monograph/colchicine.html   thanks, mas75
