RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Bombardier win $940m Spanish high-speed rail contract!!!Is this the headline he was expecting " Alstom impressed by bombardier's ability to deal with covid and their progress for futur profitability in their Twain division, better contract signing will allow better margins and 2021 will be a fantastic final year for its turnaround " ??? .. seriously , with such a contract signed with Alstom are we surprised that they would try to minimalise positives and amplify bad news coming from the bomber ??? .. the bomber is getting the job done as best possible , in the context of this pandemic , and Alstom will pay the price to get the trains that they need to compete with their rivals ... Correct..as I mentioned to the Downer, when he had time to take a break from his lemonade stand, and he emphasized such from Alstom, it was all about trying to creat leverage and positioning when it comes to negotiations, being such a deal man as he insinuates, he should have known that.
I wonder if they come up with the headlines that "alstom would take into consideration the positive rail results shown in the 3 rd qtr" if it does happen ?
Any bets downer ??

Bombardier VHS (very high speed ) rail is a jem , imo, in BT portfolio. This is what BBd has to transfer to Hitachi under Alstom deal. Sad. I wish BBd got partners, got debt refinanced and just divested some subsidiaries but kept VHS rail division and monorails.
"An advanced aerodynamic design that benefits from Bombardier’s aviation expertise ensures the trains run with an unprecedented degree of energy efficiency"

Either way Alstom loss the contract but walking away from not buying bombardier will weaken them further compared to stand alone bombardier rail. It doesn't matter if the unit that won the contract needs to be divested because new orders equal backlog which increases value of the division when its time to divest.
