RE:RE:RE:Not looking good for airlines If only what you wrote could be true; it would at least mean that our country has some kind of plan concerning our aerospace industry. Sadly I suspect that there is no plan and that our ''leaders'' react lightly ( sometimes ), if they react at all, after wiser foreign companies backed by their Gvts, take advantage of the lack of protection and interest of this important industry. Having an aerospace industry in Canada gives us a foothold in the post industrial economy instead of giving it to foreign interests .
It gives us obviously a more diversified economy, instead of relying exclusively on metals and petroleum extraction as well as agriculture and forestry.
