The stock acturlly went to 125.00 canadin...
I remember as if it was yesterday. I even visited the plant on trans canada as our company was selling to them big time. I had just gotten out of the stock with very little loss but made it back tarding when it went down to 80 cents.
That was a total accounting fraud with cooking of the books by Dunn. It was a total accounting fraud.
Comparing it to Bombardier Really ?? That is fear mongering or ignorance.
Just the financials as they were presented shows the difference between nortel and the bomber.
I visited those offices too , went to meet a friend and we headed back to the east end for lunch with my accountant . The Nortel employee asked my acountant how he could cash out some of his Nortel RRSP money while avoiding / paying less taxes and my accountant told him it was not possible .We were not even close to retirement but he wanted to buy up some real estate with that money. Boy does he regret not taking out that money even if he would have been hugely taxed .Nortel is the perfect example of why I say "I trust me" all the time , it's annoying but it reminds me to keep the door open just in case someone screams "fire"... before I invested here , I went to check if someone was carrying a match at Bombardier ;) ...
