RE:Stop lost userOn a similar note, plenty of aspiring traders assume(d) the SP will plunge 10% on ER day because it has in the past. But as soon as a pattern becomes 'obvious' it's just as likely to stop. Also I much prefer to ride down the temporary irrational drops and wait for the inevitable rebound, than to sell out trying to 'time the stock' to buy back later, only to watch the SP take off without me. The latter is much more stressful, I find.
