La journee des investisseurs de Bombardier du 4 mars a fourni des raisons d’etre optimiste, convient l’analyste Richard Aboulafia, du Teal Group. En rappelant la « petite histoire » de l’entreprise au fil des annees dans son commentaire mensuel envoye cette semaine, il indique notamment que si tout se droule bien, Bombardier peut tenir son bout dans le marche des jets d’affaires.

Mais il laisse entendre que si les choses ne se deroulent pas comme prvu, Bombardier pourrait tre achetee. « Je place Textron, Northrop Grumman et peut-tre mme Airbus trs haut sur la liste des acquereurs possibles. Si une vente survient, a mettra un terme une histoire de destruction et de dsintgration absolument remarquable. »

what trouble me the most in the article is this  "Bombardier pourrait tre achetee. « Je place Textron, Northrop Grumman et peut-tre mme Airbus " so if those evil who made sure bbd loose the c series to airbus and BT to Alstom (both are french???!!) work their way to put sticks in BA wheels, to make it fall in Airbus hands

Airbus had the cseries because it was dead. Dead because bombardier run out of money for many reasons. And finaly finished by the US taxes threat. First the cseries was supposed to fall into boeing hands but the nego failed. Then Comac, then Airbus... And for what remain,  Airbus is not interested in buisness planes. Airbus dont need to diversify his activity anny more. Don't mix

Then why is Airbus selling the A220 business jet? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxPHhwz0WTk Frankly if I were super rich, the idea of an A220 Bjet is ideal, more roomy and support and parts much more widely available as well as aircrew.

Because they do it for all planes. They take all oportunity. Governemental transport (350 and 330ACJ) , tankers (A330 PHOENIX), cargo A320 A330, soon 350)... They allow modifications even from an tier companie if it allow them to sell some additional airframes. And they need it badly the 330 and 350. But it s marginal because a modification can't compete against something made for it at
