RE:A220 (CSeries) set for a liftoff at Farnborough

RE:A220 (CSeries) set for a liftoff at Farnborough

With a headline like this one from the Financial Post, Airbus better deliver at Farnborough or they are going to have eggs in their face. Since they have already sold 60 + 60 to Jetblue prior to Farnborough, the minimum level of success that I see is the sale of another 60 planes, total.

My only concern right now is the manufacturing capability at both Mirabel and Mobile. Airlines are not going to wait for 10 years.  However, a few big fat orders will put a lot of pressure on both Bombardier and Airbus to very quickly develop additional manufacturing capabilities.

In addition, if the A220-300 turns out to be a big success at Farnborough, this might be the trigger they need to start the development of the CS500.
