The real value of A shares over B sharesRemember a year or so ago when the Federal Government was thinking of helping Bombardier if the family was to drop dual shares, the SP for A shares was at some point 50 cents over B shares. This large delta eventually just about dissapeared when it was confirmed that the family would never let go of dual shares.
What a difference a year makes. A shares have been trading one or two cents above B shares for a number of months and it is currently still the case.
The bottom line is that investors value ten votes over one voteto no more than a couple of pennies. This is pathetic.
