RE:RE:RE:RE:a bit fluffy You can bet that Boeing has a replacement for the 7turdy7 in the works. They will be keeping it super quiet as they know something like that will kill those 5000 flying coffin (max) orders. 
The issue is that it will take many years to get this going. AND mucho cash. The pressure is all on Boeing. Both Airbus and Boeing are watching carefully for when (no doubt the FAA will cave to Boeing and recertify those flying coffins) the flying public - we people - vote with our feet and REFUSE to fly on the coffins. Airlines will then be faced with a very dire decision: greatly discount fares on the coffins OR select another plane and cancel any Max orders. Rather speculative but I am certain of this secenario. Hence Airbus SHOULD make the best move and ask Bombardier Aerospace to design a CS500.   And announce it at the June airshow. How about it Santa?
