New Global 7500 Swiss state aircraft !!! Congrats BBD !The
new aircraft, a Bombardier Global 7500, will replace the current 2002 Cessna Citation Excel 560XL. The Federal Air Transportation Service (STAC) - which manages aircraft deployed on behalf of the Federal Government, departments, federal offices and army - also has a 2008 Dassault Falcon 900EX. With the new jet, the transport capacity of the Confederation will be increased, for example in the event of evacuations or flights for humanitarian purposes, specifies the executive. STAC provides aircraft for immediate assistance in the event of environmental catastrophes and humanitarian crises, as well as transport of negotiating delegations, transport services in the context of "good offices", support for Swiss embassies as well as evacuations and air transport of magistrates (Federal Councillors, Federal Chancellor, members of courts and the Attorney General's office).
The new aircraft will be available from 2025. The purchase price includes a military radio system, a self-protection system, ground material and spare parts.
