Deal valued at 6.2 Billion cash.  
Pretty well will take them out of debt
Taking effect beginning of 2021!!

Yes, question is, can they still take out CDPQ? And where would they get the money for that ($1B credit line + Belfast? + q3/q4 cashflow).  It would certainly be an amazing curtain call for Laurent Beaudoin and his business career for the ages.

Like where’s it going right now; for sure. seen this happen with a company in Alberta and overnight, the share price more than doubled.  Strong feeling this is anotjer one of those.

In Q1 CDPQ invested ~$400M in BT and increased their stake. During Q1 conference call I believe, Di Bert? was asked about the terms and he said it was under the existing shareholder agreement between the parties...so presumably the option (of BBD buying back CDPQ's stake in BT and thus eventually becoming a major shareholder in Alstom) still exists.  It would be a classic Laurent Beaudoin ...more
