it could be they discovered some wrong illigal trading by some intity manipulating Share price

  Well got it right now for the deal as there are changes in numbers

According to BNN the deal is mostly unchanged but reduced by about 350 million which is mostly offset by currency exchange.. So pretty well the sam.. 8.4 billion US as I understood it.

I knew that the deal was going to firm up.Now the varification of it. What's important is that they're getting even less for BT. Alstom would have been stupid not to grab BT at this price level. Why did this warrant the HALT. Were they scared the stock was going to tank even further. 859

They halted because they wanted to give time to the bankers and Bay Street to huddle together, gather their thoughts and figure out whether to buy, sell or hold! #not kidding.

The recent month run down was based on fear of a no deal situation, facing huge debt in the aftermath. this firmed up deal removes that portion of the fear component from the last month. .50 cents.   Until further news is what the curve, trend is showing me.
