RE:RE:RE:RE:Berkshire Hathaway is looking at an investment in CanadaBH doesn't buy companies where they need to come in and tell management what to do. They only buy into well managed companies where there is a compelling reason. And BH also does value companies like a normal investor by just looking at debt equity ratios or any of the other standard valuation methods. BH follows the Charlie Munger thinking that financial statements are misleading. For example, today looking at financials the debt is higher than the assets, so negative value for shareholders. However if the company was sold today we would discover that there is a large goodwill value not reflected in the financials. If that value was showing, shareholders equity would be significantly positive. So shareholders should remember to adjust the financial statements to only look at the real investment values. From what I can see BH is probably being considered by BH. They don't need majority. They just need a highly undervalued company that is well run where patience will pay off. And I agree that they would not reveal their investment until they had to.
