Anticipation
It's not that oil and gas are up today. It's anticipation that has put the stock higher already. I think today's going to be a good day, manifesting that after markeys close. GLTA

I think the market knows that the great numbers are coming let's hope it's all about debt repayment with the cash perhaps and early announcement for end of q3 divi increase but debt free or close to it first is my hope.

I agree that reducing the debt is paramount. I think the debt on the books June 30, 2021 of $720.9 M will be cut in half. The debt at March 31st, 2022 was $397.8M. Pretty exciting that they have turned around the ship so quickly. Good job!

paying off debt is great, but the markets wants to see money going back to shareholders or it takes a beating..

Totally agree also with R41, Squash the debt, i believe this will be the best 2nd q of all times, we deserve a $11.00 to start and $15 during the next winter,coming soon. Nat gas is the future and hopefully the Liberal can see through the fog. Build pipelines Trudeau

Bir will have volatility there are 8 million shorts that need to trade their way out if at some point. When the divi increases start those shorts will have to pay those too.

I suspect we will see a special dividend payout similar to what others are doing prior to Dec 31. im surprised none of the big dogs have come after BIR tbh. Im sure there will be offers eventually though. To be debt free is good but you dont want to die with a full bank account so the shareholders will be rewarded moving forward.

The gas plays I know of are mostly US natty price based like Bir, but also have poor hedges, so there's that.
