We may

After jeff, we may now see  hedges in place in future when prices spikes up, instead of speculation, last few quarters results were really bad due to no hedges in place.

I don't think the strategy will change. Jeff is chariman of the board. His successor was hand picked by him and has been with the company for over 10 years.  Jeff will want his dividends in retirement - tax favourable income.

Re:  Jeff will want his dividends in retirement - tax favourable income. Not at Jeff's income level.  For those in the top marginal rate, Capital Gains are taxed at a lower rate than dividends. Not sure where the cut off line is these days, probably around $100k.
