BIR or PEY?

People on this board - I was YOLO'ed into BIR for the last few years and totally missed the peak in terms of selling.

I still made considerable gains but not as much as I should have. You live and you learn.

Question is, with the potential upside on nat gas pricing would you put funds into PEY or BIR?

Looking for some help. I will post the same message on the PEY board to get answers from both sides.

P.S. even though BIR is a member of Rockies LNG, there is talk on Twitter that if a company does not have a presence in BC they cannot feed gas to the LNG plants? Has anyone heard of this? NEBC postal code is what I've seen in tweets.

Another survey. Anyone try this? Successfully?!?  Sell in the money call options, at a slight premium or even flat right around the x dividend date? I get called out at a small premium or flat, but I get to keep the divy if the x date is before the option expiry. Anyone doing this? Last day for this quarter, but maybe next quarter it's an idea for a week or two before the x date, and I ...more

Hi  I've been doing something similar. Buying just before the ex div so I get the div and selling once I'm on day of tecord so I get the div. I was successful for the most part but you have to be aware the price will drop usually the same or greater than what the div is. So rather than hold a stock for the 3 month I would only hold it for about a month max waiting for the price to ...more

P.S. In doing the div capture so far my return is about 20% yearly not including any money made due to share price increase waiting to sell. I only buy stocks that pay quarterly and ones thal pay a min of 6.5 % div or greater. A person could even make more than the 20% return but it does require lots of time finding the right stocks to buy.as well as there are so many factors that can change a ...more

I own most div paying oil stocks.. But also a few potential multibaggers.. Like TLT.v It is a very cheap stock but has msny irons in the cancer treatment field. Like killing viruses in a body invluding herpes. Plus many csncer treatments.. Just needs a deep pocket jv. Then its price will rocket

I have a part time trader for quite a few years and I have watched and even had participation in this strategy WITH WHAT I WOULD CALL LIMITED SUCCESS..A 20% return sounds pretty rich to me...1st point, if it was that easy it everyone would be doing it..2nd point , computer based algos and more recently AI is also messing with this behaviour based trading . Besides, post Divi I typically see drops ...more
