Question Debt

Why is everyone concerned about Bonterra Debt. ALL, that is all large and small companys from OIL to Health care carry a debt. BCE, ENB, WELL, NOC...goes on and on.

So why...BNE is paying off that DEBT at incredible speed, faster than the BIG boys in OIL

It's not the debt that markets are looking at it is the lack of returning of capital to shareholders and the lack of plan or comments to do so.  It's that simple.  Why invest here when everyone else is throwing cash around to share holders.  If they ever decide to do the right thing and inform shareholders of such then the share price will begin to re-rate. I think you may be wrong regarding selling. The world will need more and more oil as time goes buy and if the price of oill dips below $80 a barrel no one will invest. Tight supply is coming. Also the OIL bears are pulling out every concevable argument against oil and OIL is still above the $90 thereshold.

We can disagree.  It's ok.  I look at it as it has been an underperformer for years long before the pandemic.  They were paying out too much which started around 2013 if I remember correctly (I have already reviewed the financials for past years but forget exact numbers for such)  The only way we will see value unlocked is by changing of the entire guard to fresh eyes and ...more
