Re Asanko, I just don't know. You are probably well aware that Cohodes or some other well known short seller strongly pounded the table saying their reserve numbers were out to lunch.
In my experience, short seller research is worth plenty more than the usual stuff you get from sell-side analysts. Whether in this case the gold is there is well beyond my pay grade.
As an aside, I think that African miners in general are susceptible to the possible spread of Tanzania-itis, a la Acacia. That said, I have a small position in Roxgold, the poster child for Value Trap! Oh well, can't win 'em all.
