goldman777 wrote: Hey everybody - I live in the heart of oil land - west end of Edmonton. My neighbour to the north ( journeymen carpenter ) just took his new Dodge truck back to the dealership - hasn`t worked in a month. My neighbour to the south gave up looking for work last year - red seal chef - restaurants are dead and dying. "For Lease"  signs everywhere, EnCana gone - regardless of the floss - job losses to follow. Frustration mounting - resentment increasing - hostility is next. Working stiffs now caught in the never ending cycle of servicing their debt - hopelessness abounds....WAKE UP OTTAWA...real sorry to hear about another 500 lost jobs at a Ford plant in Windsor - how about a totally decimated Alberta economy which is a result of your anti - oil campaigne. But I hear real estate prices continue to climb in Toronto - good to know the divide is stretching wider......WESTFED - coming to a theater near you. When Alberta turns off the taps and restricts the ridiculous $20 billion a year transfer payment to the " have not " provinces pehaps eastern canada can call their good friends in Saudi Arabia to fullfill their energy needs - WTF is wrong with this country ? Look out Trudeau boy - you think the recent sea of blue west of Manitoba is just a glitch on your screen - just wait, your toast. Nobody west of Manitoba will ever support your rosy "alice in wonderland" view of the destiny iof this great country - the Liberals will never be trusted. So, when you pull your head out of the ground and realize just what signal has been sent with EnCana leaving Canada - you may lose a nights sleep over all those constituents in Alberta that will never vote for a Liberal again - but likely not, trust fund boy never had to get his hands dirty working for a living. People are pissed here in the west - exhausted after losing their wealth and now living off credit. The divide widens and unfortunately the route most are turning to is DIVORCE - Trudeaus legacy may well be "The idiot that broke up a great nation " Trust me folks, ain`t nobody saying anything good about the current state of affairs in Edmonton. EOM
Me, I`m a stainless steel fabricator - one of the best of the best, the company I work for used to manufacture camp kitchens - haven`t seen a camp kitchen in 5 years, investment is non-existent. Just laid off 2 more $25 an hour workers today - down to a skeleton crew - nothing on the books. Every fab shop and hydraulic shop in the city is staring down a pretty bleek winter. Good job Ottawa - the west will not go quietly into the night after carrying this great nation for the last 50 years - WESTFED - you will hear more and more about this seperatist movement . Stop worrying about Quebec - what have they ever done for you. If I was at the Helm in Alberta I would restrict all energy exports to Eastern Canada until the powers to be got their heads out of their rectums - stop importing energy from politically corrupt, pollution emitting regimes  -  and start supporing clean, made at home Canadian energy intiatives. And I am not alone in this narrative - WTF is wrong with this country ?
