You talk to anyone that's been investing in the TSX over the past 10 years and I guarantee you there down huge amounts. Maybe 1 in a 100 has made money over the past 10 years. The smart ones that watched pot stocks reach ridiculous valuations and got out and that's it. Everyone else has been beat to death.
Guess I am 1 in 100. Among other transactions, over the last 10 years, I have purchased a lumber stock OSB under $12, and sold it over $40. I have collected around $10/share in dividends on the shares held the whole decade. I am not even a "smart one" as I never owned a pot stock. Maybe something is wrong with how you invest, not the TSX or Canada.
