Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 162,000 net acres of crude oil operations. Its Viking assets are located in the Dodsland area in southwest Saskatchewan and in the Esther area of southeastern Alberta. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

RE:RE:RE:RE:$3 by augustAnyone who has held BTE for any length of time has seen this before . While last week was discouraging and somewhat painful to watch , I would expect most are still in the green . I will admit having been spooked by the one way insanity we experienced as it seemed like a bigger problem was emerging (liquidity) .

If you are swayed by the day to day then for sure , the sky was falling but for those looking long term , nothing "really" has changed . Inventories are still draining daily and demand is overwhelming supply as we enter driving season . Sooner or later this market will wake up to the fact O&G is essential today and will be for decades to come . 

The game of chicken continues , will governments enable the industry or continue to be obstructive ? One way or another the left has got to get their heads in the game and deal with our economic reality , not the wants and wishes of a few .
