RE:The deal ? Yea, there is always a risk a deal doesn't go through, especially one without any premium to the company being bought out. I hope this is not the case as this is a transformative deal for Baytex with significant increase in shareholder value through accretive acquisition. It would be hard to languish under the old company if this fell apart.
Fortunately, more than half of the shares are owned by Juniper, and they have endorsed the deal. So I don't see a sweetener, though a competing white knight offer remains possible.
