What is the book value for baytex
What would be the share price value on a buyout situation for baytex taking into account the debt? $1 $2 $3?

Really? The CEO of BTE just bought 20,000 shares at 64 cents. He is obviously an insider who knows what is going on.

$13k is a small confidence.. For a company that pays him millions each year. Confidence of success is bought in hundreds of thousands of shares not 20k. Debt is an anchor that will keep bte from moving anywhere short of a large disposition.

Lol, book value is not exactly a mystery. It should be approx. 78 cents per share at the moment, after the write downs this year. Accouting 101: Assets - Liabilities = Equity 435,653,000 / 560,545,000 = .78 Dividing Equity by shares outstanding is book value per share...Thats not really up for debate. What is up for debate is the intrinsic value per share of the stock.
