Accurate float for BTE
I was researching information on the current float doe Bte. How do you find out how many shares are currently floating? We have solid numbers on fund numbers, but how many are available to trade?

How do the otc and TSX communicate? Is the otc given access to all 564 million? It seems the two should know how many shares are held daily??

Complex question, which isn't easily answered.... However...a simple answer....is.... All of these - ATS, TSX, TXV, CSE Are all competing exchanges for your business - so while you may be familiar with the TSX ... The others are just exchanges as well, vying for the trade, and the commission... Your broker will use any of these to execute your trade

It's crazy to me that this isn't a daily published number. Especially with so many market makers selling the shares.

The "float" is a pointless number to focus on. Focus on shares outstanding. Assume all shares are tradeable for whatever "analysis" you are attempting. It's not a number that changes everyday so "a daily published number" seems unnecessarily discombobulated.

So how do we know when all the shares get bought up? If nobody keeps reliable numbers, it seems you could have infinite supply.
