My question Wolf is did they miss or not? This was from seeking Alpha, not making any decisions. The earnings & news seem fine, especially the Clearwater production now and going forward. As for WCP, yes they also had a great earnings report, in fact record earnings but that doesn't seem to matter. Baytex & Whitecap are not trading at fair multiples, under 3x for BTE, under 4x for

Wild you know better. My target for WCP was $25m higher. They missed my target and a few of my buddies but I was happy. I guess if I say we are analysts they missed analysts targets? If that's your angle I won't waste time arguing lol . That said I know Cdn O&G investors love to bash each other No wonder tech guys hate O&G people lol

stockhudson asks if 'we can approach 8 tomorrow.' No one seems to want to stick there neck out? Why...because even though the earnings report is good it is not perfect. On top of that daytraders loaded up in advance of earnings. These traders will need to be flushed out one way or another...which generally means a lower stock price at least in the short term. So I dont see 8 tomorrow.

I think he answered that question to the positive.  They spent a lot in Clearwater to prepare for significant production adds.  Given the rise in cap ex cost expected that probably was money well spent.

That was the first thing I went looking for last night when I read that report , increased capex in Q1 for Clearwater was a great investment . If you listened to the conference call Ed mentioned many of those Clearwater sections are really only accessable in the winter (ice roads , etc) so it made perfect sense to me . A D9 Cat will nearly sink out of sight when parked overnight in the summer on
