Freeland

Anybody worried about Freeland taking a shot at windfall taxes later today. I am worried.

Not really I believe they already discussed and Libs didn't go for it. Last thing they need now is a constitutional crisis and Alberta separation LOL I think inflation, housing and supply chain is enough for them to fret about.

I think the earliest there is a chance would happen would be the fall economic update. Even then I think the chance is minimal it happens.

Think about how Trudeau governs. It's not about right or wrong, good or bad. It's about getting votes and marginalizing. I think there's a bigger risk of losing Liberal votes than there is an opportunity to gain Conservative votes my moving forward with a windfall tax.

I agree JT is about votes...not even just the west....he would lose many votes in Ontario.
