"Per WSJ article today, probably no tax credit for Tesla cars under current draft of legislation."

EV rebates only apply for new vehicles below 55k selling price as well.

The US tax credits on EV vehicles were limited to 200,000 units per manufacturer, which both GM and Tesla exceeded, and Toyota just reached this quarter. Under the new bill they eliminated that starting January 2023.  But you have to had paid more than $7,500 in taxes, otherwise you get zero. So Trump won't qualify. Too bad for customers, car dealers, and their employees until then.   ...more
