Jerome Powell should be fired

Has any Fed leader failed as much as he has?   Too late to start raising rates to slow down Biden's inflation, too much and too fast of an overreaction once he began and zero recognition of the damage to the entire financial system that he has caused.   Then today his irresponsible commentary intentionally drives down the market.  The guy wants people to lose jobs and lose in the market.   He's a dck.

Do tell us, has a Fed leader failed this much?  What historical comparables would you put forward?  The commentary is not irresponsible at all, in fact it's preferable to actually pumping rates higher.  The FUD that he puts in the system is less destructive than a rate hike.  They both work to the same end, tho. I'd put Volcker in the same category as someone who crushed inflation at the expense of the worker (with an accompanying lack of empathy) and went far too extreme with interest rates.   But Powell also compares to Burns as somebody asleep at the wheel while inflation was growing and then did little to combat it.  In both cases the pendulum swung too far.   The uniqueness of ...more

Ugh, sitting in cash. Probably the number one reason why investors underperform the market. They think they are smarter than all the other participants and can therefore sit in cash and jump into the market when it's just about to go up. Reams of data from over 100 years show that this is very likely to be a losing strategy. I would suggest finding companies/sectors you believe in, put your ...more
