Not going away
I prefer not to be a bearer of bad news. However, according Reuters, the situation in Mali is worsening.
As the U.N. peacekeepers continue to pull out, the insurgents are moving in.
Security analysts are warning that the Mali State could collapse altogether.
Who knows? Maybe that could be a good thing. I kind of doubt it.
In the meantime chaos reigns.
Surely, Clive is keeping a close eye on the situation.

Fekola represents 58% of B2Gold's current gold production (see October 2023 presentation). The 2023 Q3 results will be released November 8, 2023. B2Gold should focus on this Mali issue as it is key to B2Gold's future! Nice to see some serious comments / insights about this company.

Tommorow, Thurs. the 9th at 1pm EST there is a conference call. So far the CEO has chosen not to address the ongoing deteriorating political situation in Mali, at least publicly. Maybe we'll hear some of his thoughts on the call.

If the Mali State collapses, as some security analysts are saying, it could become a big deal even if B2's interests are somewhat remote from where the insurgency is most active.
