Ignorance is bliss for some...T/A is a valuable tool. The more I learn the more successful I am as an investor. While F/A (fundamental analysis) is important to me and the means by which I normally determine my picks, increasingly T/A plays a part.
I know of day traders who can call it to the penny at least 50% of the time when a stock will turn. They have honed their skills and I find it amazing in this day and age that some investors still scoff at T/A.
