Tanzania & African Barrick, Etc.

Tanzania & African Barrick, Etc.It would be interesting to see how much of the profits from this mine make their way to the local community.  The days of traveling to far off lands and raping them of their riches is over.  I think it only fair that when companies experience windfall profits that a percentage of these must remain in the host country.  Loss of life over a mine is not something that will be remembered with any degree of pride or celebration.  Truly this is nothing more than a complete loss of balance between the company the government and the local community.

There is no doubt this is not helping Canaco's share price.  I hope we'll see local representation on the Canaco board and a sharing of windfall profits with the local people.  I know as a Canadian that I don't like to see our resources sold off to others for less than fair market value.  Share the wealth, there is plenty to go around.  Never forget we are part of the Global Community.  Practice abroad what you preach at home !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
