The company i worked for also had a project to develop Tanzania's offshore gas fields for electricity generation... that was about 10 yrs ago... i'm sure much has changed. I remember the stories i used to hear about how when you drive into town for lunch it was common to walk down the street after lunch to the pawn shop to buy back the headlights and mirrors from your vehicle... ah the good old days.
