RE: RE: HUGE potential"Just a few other examples of
producing mines located in "arctic" areas, although not in Canada. I am
also sure there are a number of mines in Norway, Finland and Russia too."
Like I said in my first post here, Not bashing, just kicking tires.
Although I have not researched mines in other countries I would make a wild guess that the road system reaches to less than the 600 or 700 KM's between Churchhill Man. and the greenbelt we speak of. It seems the only realistic route is either sea (for heavy loads) or air (for light loads) to the CBR claim. supplies seem to find their way to 2500 people in the settlements I mentioned before and as far as I can see the same type of supply route can be used for CBR's exploration and in the future a potential gold mine.
"If the Committee Bay Area indeed hosts a big gold deposit, it will be
mined, the location won't be a problem. The Committee Bay Area will
probably host somewhere around 5-10 MOz, maybe even more. That's my
guess."
If the Committee Bay claim host multi million Oz's (which I don't doubt at this point in time) the question is, how far apart can the mills be and still be profitable, in the arctic? Lets be real here, diesel gen units are what will power future mines that far north. Diesel isn't cheap power especially that far north.
Another realistic question is "When the dore bars are poured, how do you get them to market in the winter? (isn't the winter high times for gold price?) I know this isn't CBR's problem YET! but if a JV occurs and/or an outright sale of claims, this will become an issue affecting share price one way or another.
Not bashing, just being realistic.
