Cogeco vs BCE

Any real comparison? Cogeco has been on a downward trend since July 1, 2023. BCE is not fairing much better but has started an upward climb as of Oct 1. Interested in Cogeco but not interested in catching a falling knive. Any thoughts on when the bottom might happen? Getting close to breaking under $50.

Cogeco is IMO massively undervalued.  The share price hasn't been here since 2014 . Their books are in line with most any year since but not the share price.  dividends only eat 33% . give or take. I often buy a company's shares when I can do my DD and still not see any reason for a very large drop....as is the case here. I bought a large load yesterday and last week.  The ...more

While I agree on the valuation front, the stock is beat up for two good reasons: CCA continues to bleed customers in their US ops. Still no mobile offerings means no ability to offer bundled services to fight off competition. Under 50 looks like a decent buy if you think they can address both these issues in a timely manner. Guidance for 2024 was flat (revenue, EBITDA) to down.(FCF). The ...more
