RE: RE: Cameco need money

What else can I say??? I worked at that site and here are some facts, they bring in Northern People through contractors, not direct hires, they pay these Northern People nothing, and the contractors they work for charge them out for 100 plus an hour. They do not develop these people, instead they bring trades people in from Ontario, Nova Scotia and charter all flights for them and book planes to fly others in from Edmonton, to this NONE PRODUCING site.

In other cases they hire people directly for Cameco who are not Northerns or as they call it Northern Residence of Saskatchewan North (RSN) and give them jobs they have no qualifications or experience. Then they hire more contractors to look after the contractors. Cameco has went as far as to hire a Sub Contractor to look after the hand over of the new construction items.

The camp is over loaded and they are still adding on to the camp, but if you walk around site you may find one or two little outfits working and everyone else trying to fly in and out while doing nothing. This site could lose 300 people and it would not impact anything,, and at least 60 of these people could be Camecos own.

This is just my opinion but labor costs are where the money is being spent.
