RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE rapid_fire, I don't think the Air Canada situation will directly effect Chorus but an indirect impact will be that as AC improves, the market will tend to see all airlines more favourably. I think this has already begun with Transat gaining 24% last week and Chorus and WestJet gaining as well. I do think there could be a negative with Chorus as a result of the Thomas Cook loss of business, however. The main vulnerability with Chorus is its dividend. If my information is correcct, the yield is an unbelievable 17.6% at Friday's close. Any reduction in the dividend will hit the SP hard, however, if the price can recover a little bit, that yield will come down and if the dividend appears more safe its got to attract more investors. Let's not forget that they continue to produce strong cash flows from operations. For myself, I maintain a position on Chorus but see the upside of AC and Transat more favourable.
