Dividend

Is it possible that Chorus reinstate their dividend before 2022 ? Thank you !

I would say the chance of a partial re-instatement is maybe 20% in the last quarter with that percentage increasing over time into 2022. It will really depend on the pace of the vaccine rollout. Most Canadians won't be fully vaccinated (both doses) until the Fall. We need to have covid cases/deaths show sustained decline, consumer confidence come back, fear to subside, borders ...more

No even Chorus does not believe they can re-instate a divident before 2022.  That is just plain stupid!  In fact, they may do another financing before 2022 for further dilution so give your head a shake!

80% chance of a partial dividend in 2022 is not far fetched. We are still in lockdown with closed borders... but that will change by late Fall. The bounce back is going to be large and relatively fast. Jamie Dimon says economic boom fueled by deficit spending, vaccines could ‘easily run into 2023’ https://www.cnbc.com/2021/04/07/jamie-dimon-says-economic-boom-fueled-by-deficit-spending-vaccines ...more

What is a divident? Is that a dividend with a dent in it? Sorry but when you give an ignorant comment you should expect one back. Cheers!

A divident is one that no longers exists!  Instead it puts a dent in your portfolio.  So if you like dividend then you will not like having too many dividents in your income!
