The start-up of the expansion--now 98 per cent complete--will triple the pipeline’s capacity and reshape oil flows across the Americas. It’s also expected to spur exports to Asia and likely ramp up production of Canadian oil. Conceived more than a decade ago, the project has been handicapped by massive cost runups with costs having quadrupled to nearly $31 billion.

Great news. It is amazing to see how quiet my fellow Western Canadian friends are when it is time to thank the Federal government for it's major investment into that pipeline...Ottawa saved the day on this one we should all admit that fact. Yup, I'm from the East, worst...from Qubec....not a Liberals and definitely not a Conservatives but, I'm all for us to give our oil a way to be ...more

I,m from Quebec and I like the conservatives. Canada and especially Quebec caused the excessive price for tmx and yet they openly screw newfoundland on hydro! How much money have the geenies flushed down the toilet .

What I think we should do is ban the importation of all oil from non ethical oil producing companies. Then we'd need a pipeline from the west to the east.

If the moron Libs would have gotten out of the way when Kinder Morgan was putting the pipeline in there would have been no reason for them to have to buy the pipeline.   Nevermind the fact that KM was going to sue the Federal government for billions under NAFA. Then in true government fashion they turned a 7 billion dollar project into a 32B project  The same government that said there& ...more
