RE: I am so tired of CMKsCat.......basically what you did was put in a Stop Loss........nothing wrong with that....many investors use a stop loss & I think that sometimes it is a smart move.
It could have dropped to $1.00 and then you would have bought back in and almost doubled your position. You would have looked smarter than BadDog then. The last few days were very scary, even very scary for me. No one buys a stock thinking it will go down unless you are shorting that stock. Sometimes a good investor needs to know when to bail. It could have gone either way. Don't let BadDog's criticism get you down.
You have to make your own decision and decide it you are going to get back in & when. I know lots of investors that sell at a point and then down the road end up getting back in at a higher price. It is YOUR MONEY, you can do what ever you want with it. I just hope you are using a discount broker and didn't pay someone $500 to make that sell order.
Remember, when you hear anyone telling you that a stock is going to be a Xbagger, or criticising you for selling, they are only hoping it will be because they own the stock. It they were 110% sure they wouldn't be posting on this board looking for information as they would to busy sailing in their yacht around the caribbean. Checking out the topless bikini girls bring you gin & tonics or posting back & forth with you...hmmmmm.
