You are right as I looked at the information circular. Nonetheless this was a big grant of options with very generous immediate vesting.
From the perspective of us the shareholders it seems riduclous to further reward executives at this time. For what - a poorly handled financing, missed targets, a 60% decline in share price since the start of the year, overall lack of info.
This is rewarding mgmt for poor performance. Instead of them having to sweat it out for the stock to rise like the rest of us who invested real cash, they get additional grants at lower exercise prices. Its rewarding them for poor stock performance!!
Why not screw things up a little more and get another grant for double the number of shares at 75 cents !!! This is just a bad a bailing out the banks for bad lending.
