Northguy, I understand your frustration with CMK, when I came out with the "razzle dazzle" comment, what I meant to say is that Bates and co instead of focusing on subtance and the affair of the company, he was promoting the company for reasons of securing financing I suppose. Promoting a company through advertising is a perfectly legitimate activity in NA. And if advertising is a scam business I am with you. But it's legitimate nevertheless. Now, if you can prove that an advertisement is false, there are legal consequences. My comment you''re quoting means to underline the fact that Bates and co were more interested in promoting CMK rather than serious planning and the future of the company. But you cannot accuse him of lying for his own benefit. You could do that if he said that the fortunes of the company are going up and at the same time he was selling into the rally, he and the rest of the officers of the board. But there is no such evidence unless I'm missing something. And while everyone was buying Bates and the Board were selling. That would be fraud and if that is the case and there is evidence, the OSC is supposed to investigate. Really, what this man was doing when he was promising 3million tons of coal a year, he really believed what he was saying. And he was so much off the mark not because he was trying to fool everyone, but he had no clue how the market conditions for met coal were shaping up. That is why I call him an incompetent idiot and not a crook. So take your picks.
